The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Original 300'- Reel of Original 16mm Work Print Outtakes

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (c.1973). Very Fine. Original 300'- Reel of Original 16mm Work Print Outtakes.
In 1973 a ragtag group of Texans scrounged up $60,000 and created a film so violent and visionary that it shocked the world. Director Tobe Hooper created the original "Slasher" film shooting for two months in a Hot as Hell 1973 Texas Summer. The character of "Leatherface" (played by Gunner Hanson), the chainsaw wielder, will never be forgotten in the litany of horror films. Originally it was portrayed as being based on a true story, but these gruesome events never actually occurred. This amazing reel of outtakes from the film has been unseen by the public and not included in any documentary dealing with the film to date. From the collection of actor Edwin Neal, the "Hitchhiker," this reel is spliced together work print outtakes from a number of sequences in the film starting with the slate at the head of the take in a number of instances. Included are scenes of Pam and Kirk approaching the house, the Hitchhiker and Leatherface chasing Sally through the woods, Leatherface chasing the truck driver and a number of shots of Sally in captivity. Running time almost 8 minutes and approx 300 foot of film. In very nice shape, the reel comes with an MP4 flash drive transfer. Very Fine.
