Die Geschichte des Films beginnt in einem Wald, wo kurz zuvor vier Soldaten mit einem Flugzeug abstürzten. Diese merken schnell, dass sie sich im feindlichen Territorium befinden. Weder die Zeit noch der Ort des fiktiven Krieges wird dabei näher erläutert. Schnell können sie auch feindliche Truppen entdecken. Die vier Soldaten wollen versuchen mithilfe eines selbstgebauten Floßes das Gebiet des Feindes zu verlassen. Doch ein Floß zu bauen dauert auch ein wenig Zeit und das viel größere Problem ist, dass sie Hunger bekommen und im Wald ist nichts essbares vorhanden. Doch es gibt ja auch noch die feindlichen Lager der anderen Soldaten.
