About the series: An unknown epidemic is spreading in Berlin. Infected people become bloodthirsty zombies whose main food is not infected. 95% of the population are either dead or "undead". Within
only 8 weeks the image of Berlin has changed fundamentally.
Groups of zombies walk through the streets in search of food. Survivors have joined forces and defend their improvised forts against the undead. Others calculate bigger chances alone and in motion. They have discovered the sewers for relatively safe locomotion. Others use the roofs. The undead are not very sporty. Always looking for a safe shelter, food and weapons.
But when a former philosophy student with a hairdresser exchanged 10 cans of ravioli for 5 grams of marijuana, it was clear that sooner or later Berlin would return to normal. According to the circumstances. If you take the risk of being eaten on the street, you'd rather stay in front of your Playstation with the door closed. At least as long as the electricity still works. Life finds a way and people adapt.
Viva Berlin! tells about the "new" living/surviving inside the wall and something outside. The characters with their problems in this new, more dangerous, but also simpler and maybe even happier world. eating. Fucking. Sleeping. And the things that make it all "worth surviving".
The pictures are dirty and gloomy. Blurred and out of focus. The stories are short and dramatic.
Cruel and beautiful. Human and inhuman.
