WEREWOLF WITH UZI

SHOOTING:

Shot by using just ONE Super8-cartridge (15 meters of film = roughly 3 minutes of raw footage TOTAL) of Kodak Vision3 200T (color negative film), with a tiny Canon 310XL Super8-camera @ 18fps. Camera wasn't tested beforehand but looks like it worked as expected. rofl

Werewolf transformation sequence was also shot on same cartridge with 310XL's "stop motion"/single-shot mode.

Additionally 72 frames of regular 35mm color negative film were shot with Lomokino camera (so called super35 frame size) for the "3D" sequence.

No digital effects or "film-scratchy-look" digital filters - euwh! All "special" effects were made on shooting location. Titles and tiny bit of color "correcting" added in post processing.

LANGUAGE & SUBTITLES:

In Finland our cinemas usually show movies with original language, so in case of foreign films they get subtitled. Finnish & Swedish (and Sami) being the official languages, you get to see both on screen simultaneously (but not Sami, for some reason :P ). Sometimes this has lead to situations where the person writing the translation had no idea of the original context so the subtitles end up having some awkward moments or very obvious mistakes. We wanted to respect these moments in this trailer.

Also we used to have video censorship so in WEREWOLF WITH UZI some of the strong language has been toned down for the emotionally sensitive Finnish audience (who for some reason wants to see a movie filled with violence). However, looks like "Júlia Agnés" who wrote the Swedish subtitles didn't get the memo (or had her personal preference to ignore it) and she respected the original dialogue, in some cases even adding some extra filth in her subtitles without anybody's notice. Rumor has it she didn't even know any Swedish until going to jail and spending time with her hot cellmate. x)

In the English dialogue & trailer voice we wanted to respect the cheesyness of old B-movie action genre, and took some inspiration even from the black & white horror movie era. Yea, we know that wolf actually HOWLS but it doesn't rhyme with "KILLS"! ;)
